Safety

Flippo Construction Company Inc. is committed to safety and the safety of our employees, subcontractors and the general public. In fact, on an annual basis we align the company’s safety goals with the overall Company objectives. Safe production is our number one priority and we simply want everyone to return home to their families in the same condition that they came to work.

We don’t offer lip service, but we do offer and adhere to a simple philosophy “ZERO ACCIDENTS IS THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE GOAL.” We have proven our approach to safety to be effective; our experience modification rate has leveled-off between .66 and .79 over the past decade. It is currently .76.

FCCI employs a Safety Director and three full-time Safety Representatives to administer and maintain our safety program. Our Safety Department is actively involved from the original estimate to the project turnover, pre-construction and finally the building of the job. Safety works jointly with our field operations on a daily basis communicating in morning crew huddles and weekly toolbox talks conducted by field supervisors. Each employee is held accountable for their safety performance. Those who excel are rewarded with Safety Awards, Field Supervisors can earn up to $6,000 of additional income on an annual basis for excellent safety records. Field employees can earn $250 – $500 each year for zero accidents and no safety violations.
